Yoga Retreat Growing Happiness
Blossom and grow for you and your soul
In nature, life shows itself from its most magnificent side. During this week at Goodtimes Surfcamp, we want to do the same and explore and realign our energies from root to crown in order to finally be able to fully unfold.

In five dynamic yoga sessions in the morning, we awaken our energy with a creative Vinyasa flow. We use balancing postures to strengthen our sense of security and our ability to leave our comfort zone with confidence and trust. Strengthening and heart-opening postures also support us in discovering and daring new things with confidence and courage. The motto in the morning: ground yourself and (perhaps surpass yourself) grow.
In three gentle yin yoga classes in the afternoon, we enjoy calm, stretching yoga postures and deepen the connection to our body and our feelings. Affirmations help us to focus our awareness on all that is good and to feel gratitude. The motto in the early evening: pause and be content.
We sharpen all our senses and intuition with breathing exercises and meditations. With playful dance exercises, we stimulate our creativity and create a sense of connection. We listen to the sea and the inner voice, whose words we also let flow onto paper. Together we create a beautiful time and a safe space for joy, abundance, change and shared growth.

Nina
Yoga teacher
I came to yoga through dancing and have always loved movement of all kinds, board sports and water. I teach with a lot of dedication and like to give free rein to my creativity. A relaxed atmosphere is particularly important to me. During my studies, I turned my passion into a profession. I initially taught creative children’s dance for a few years.
I then completed my yoga teacher training (500 hours) at the Institute for Yoga and Health in Cologne (IYGK) in 2014. As I like to incorporate my various interests into my yoga classes, I teach yoga classes on the SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) at lakes in Cologne and the surrounding area. I took part in a SUP yoga teacher training course in Florida in 2016.
In February 2018, I decided to open Kolibri, a small yoga studio in Cologne’s Agnesviertel district. Naturally, the focus of my classes here is also on creative movement and physical and mental balance. I am particularly familiar with wobbly situations and balancing postures.
I would like to share my enthusiasm for yoga and movement and the fullness of life with you in my retreat.

Nina's yoga style and yoga philosophy
I have been dancing for as long as I can remember and my enthusiasm for all kinds of movement continues to grow. When I attended my first yoga class just over 10 years ago, I was naturally very flexible and also quite fit thanks to dancing. I had the impression that I could easily keep up and it was good for me. And then the teacher suddenly said: “You need to work on your feet.” I was surprised. And I knew it was true.
Even as a small child, I had to wear insoles and go to physiotherapy… Not a pleasant memory. But this attention to detail really fascinated me back then. Today I take it for granted, but in that first yoga class it was somehow new to me. It took some time before I really realized how important the feet are for a healthy posture.
It is not only in the true sense that feet demonstrate stability. Those who feel secure and confident also feel free and can develop their full potential. Sometimes this also means following your own intuition instead of fulfilling other people’s expectations.
Nina's enthusiasm for yoga and exercise
I’ve been working on my feet ever since. Or rather, on my confidence and my own path. For me, yoga is about overcoming boundaries. Physical boundaries, of course, but above all mental ones. Constricting thoughts and fear stand in the way of many people who actually have every opportunity.
That’s why I want to encourage people to try new things and do things that may seem difficult or unfamiliar at first. Yoga on the SUP (stand up paddleboard) and on the yoga board (a movable board for indoors) are particularly suitable for this. I also like to incorporate balance postures or small balance effects into my yoga classes without a board.
Through yoga, I have learned to take a closer look and explore the causes of problems. I realized that it is possible to change things in your life that you previously thought were unchangeable. I realized that you can achieve wonderful things that you might not have even dared to think about before. I want to encourage people to do that.
